Working hard on many projects these days, both in and outside of my main occupation. Much to build.
I just realized that all of my power tools are a different brand. Not that weird I suppose, but it was interesting to notice.
I have a Dewalt cordless drill, Makita palm sander, Ridgid belt sander, Ryobi jigsaw, Bosch worm drive saw, and Porter Cable router. No brand dedication whatsoever.

Projects for work…

Check out these belt sanders (below). I found these at a cabinet shop liquidation sale. I love the design and stylization on power tools from this era. They look like little locomotives or jet packs. For $150, those better be some dang good belt sanders, because they’ve got to be 30+ years old.

Thats a nice collection of tools. I really like the Bosch circ saw. Not too many DIYers have a kick butt saw like that. I have a similar one, also from Bosch.
As for those $150 sanders. They look well cared for and will probably last another 30 years. They may be from the 1950s. I personally couldn’t justify $150 for one. I’m not a fan of Ryobi but I once found a Royobi branded belt sander at a liquidator for $10. I later found out it was made by Bosch and rebranded by Royobi for a short period of time. Its a real workhorse. I cant see myself needing another one anytime soon.
Have fun with those tools and be safe.
