This chair is a variation on Chair 2 from the 5 Chairs Project.
The chair frame is exactly the same, but I decided to do away with the sling style and go with a more straightforward weave approach.
I used the same 5/8″ solid hex rod steel as the rest of the pieces in the 5 chairs project and went 1.5″ oxblood latigo leather.
Matt from Wood & Faulk was kind enough to slice the leather hide down into strips on his amazing neat-o-matic multi strap cutter thing. Awesome.
This time around I had Leland from Revive Upholstery and Design sew up a cushion for me out of some felted wool.
