These are probably my 2 most favorite things I’ve ever made. This was a special project for my dear friends at Poketo – they are opening a brick and mortar store this summer! I wanted to create 2 unique chairs that would communicate both my style and stay consistent with Poketo’s brand identity.
As you can see from the image above, Poketo loves color! My task was simple – make a pair of colorful chairs using the Poketo colors!
I started with the Open Cube Frame that I explored during my 5 chairs project last fall. I’m loving this chair style, and the woven sling is super comfortable and provides great support.
After cutting the leather into strips I sprayed them down with leather dye and voila!
I got the frames powder coated white so that the color would really pop!
I love how the color transitions and overlaps.
